FAQ for Customers

How many guests can we book for?

  • Bathers is now a Category D restaurant

    which means we can accommodate up to 12 guests. Groups of more than 12 guests are limited to sittings at either 4pm or 6pm on weekends and must dine from our Group Feast Menu.

What time do you close?

    Bathers close at 10:30pm and last orders for food are 8pm, or later by special request.

How do I make a booking?

  • We accept bookings of up to 20 guests through our online booking system or over the phone. On completion of a booking you will receive a confirmation email with lots of useful information regarding your visit.

    Your credit card details may be required to secure your booking. All credit card details are encrypted and not visible to staff. If you do not receive a confirmation email please check your junk folder. We are not currently taking any group bookings larger than 20 people. For private events larger than 20 people please call the restaurant directly on +852 2504 4788 or email events@woollypighk.com.

Is Bathers available to hire for weddings and private events?

  • As we are a Category D restaurant

    We can currently accommodate up to 12 guests per table. We also are welcoming over 180 people for large group celebrations, weddings and private events.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • We operate a 24 hour cancellation policy.

    On the occasion of a no show or late cancellation we charge a cancellation fee of $100pp.

Can I bring my own bottle of wine?

  • Yes. Corkage is charged at $300 per bottle and we kindly ask that you don’t bring any bottles that are represented on our current wine list.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

  • Yes. We charge a $150 cake cutting fee.

Do you cater for special dietaries?

  • All of our menus include vegetarian options but If you let us know in advance of your visit we will do our best to accommodate any other specific dietary requirements.

    It is important to note that we do use nuts, gluten and other allergens in our kitchen. If you need to inform us of any requirements, just give the restaurant a call on + 852 2504 4788 before your visit.

Can I bring my own decorations?

  • As Bathers is a sustainable restaurant in a beachside location we do not promote the use of single use plastic decorations, such as balloons, banners or selfie decorations.

    For exclusive use hire we can suggest small table decorations, however we kindly ask that you remove and dispose of all decorations at the end of your booking in a responsible manner.

Can I bring my dog?

  • Unfortunately dogs are not permitted inside the restaurant

    Please note animals are not allowed in the food preparation areas or bathrooms.

What is the table return time?

  • Unless you are booked for a late lunch (4pm) or dinner sitting we kindly ask that all tables are returned within 2 hours, to give other diners a chance to dine with us during extremely busy periods.

Can we book tables on the beach?

  • The beach is a public beach and as such Bathers does not have a licence to serve food or alcohol on the beach.

    We do not have any bookable tables located directly on the beach however takeaway food is available from our next door takeaway restaurant ‘Mr Chipper'.

How do I get to Bathers?

  • Bathers is located on Lower Cheung Sha Beach on Lantau Island and is accessible by public transport:

    Via the MTR, Tung Chung Line followed by a public bus 3 or 11 to Lower Cheung Sha Beach or Ferry from Central to Mui Wo followed by public bus 1, 2 or 4 to Lower Cheung Sha Beach. In order to drive on the island you will need a Lantau Closed Road Permit.
